What Is a Roll-Off Dumpster?
A roll-off is an open-top container delivered and collected by a truck. You load the agreed material during the rental period. The size names—10, 15, 20 and 30 yard—identify the available container options; they do not tell you how much disposal weight is included or the maximum permitted weight for a particular load.
Bulky furniture takes up space differently from dense material. Give the team both a description of the items and an estimate of how much debris the project will produce. Do not choose a larger container simply to load more heavy material.

If your project includes concrete, soil, masonry or another dense material, describe it before selecting a container. Naming a material in your inquiry does not establish that it is approved to load.
15 Yard Dumpster
- Outside dimensions: 16 feet long × 8 feet wide × 5 feet tall
- Standard starting price: $325, with 1 ton of disposal weight included
- Planning help: Compare the largest items and remaining debris for a smaller household cleanout or remodeling project with the team.
List furniture, cabinets, flooring or other bulky items separately. That helps explain the space needed without relying on an estimated number of pickup-truck loads.
20 Yard Dumpster
- Outside dimensions: 14 feet long × 8 feet wide × 6 feet tall
- Standard starting price: $375, with 1 ton of disposal weight included
- Planning help: Describe the amount of debris for a larger cleanout or renovation, and identify any dense material separately.
For roofing work, provide the material, approximate roof area and number of layers. Ask about the accepted load and weight limit before deciding that the debris will fit safely.
30 Yard Dumpster
- Outside dimensions: 18 feet long × 8 feet wide × 8 feet tall
- Standard starting price: $400, with 2 tons of disposal weight included
- Planning help: Discuss bulky loads, larger renovations and projects that may need more than one haul.
Plan the truck approach and loading area as well as the container footprint. A container fitting a parking space does not mean the delivery truck has enough clearance.
Roll-Off Dumpster Rental Cost in Utah

These standard rentals include seven days, delivery and pickup. Distance can change the starting price. Disposal weight above the included allowance is $60 per additional ton. The included allowance is not a maximum safe loading weight.
Concrete rentals require a separate quote. Before booking, confirm accepted material, the loading limit and any extra-time or special-item charges. Review current prices and rental terms, or request a quote for your address and project.
For example, under a quote with one ton included, two tons of disposal weight would mean one additional ton charged at $60. That explains the overage calculation; it does not approve loading two tons into any particular container.
How to Arrange Your Rental
- Describe the project. Include the material, largest items and any dense or unusual debris. Compare sizes or choose “Help me choose” in the quote form.
- Give the delivery address. The exact location helps the team confirm coverage, access and the price for your route.
- Request your preferred dates. Discuss availability and the included rental period. Sending the form requests a quote; it does not reserve a delivery.
- Confirm the placement and quote. Agree on where the container will sit, the approved material, loading instructions and rental terms before booking.
- Plan pickup or another haul. Call before your planned rental ends if the work, pickup date or container needs change. Confirm availability and any additional charges.
Where Can You Place a Dumpster?
Check the placement spot and the truck route together. For a driveway or shared private property, confirm permission from the owner or property manager. Note slopes, gates, overhead obstacles and vehicles that may block access. Tell the team about space needed for the loading door and other people using the property.
Driveway protection is available when requested. If you are concerned about the surface, mention it while arranging the delivery plan.
